Christmas 2011

So I definitely just wrote the title as 2010.  Apparently I'm feeling like time has been going to fast.  I am still stunned that it's 2012.  Also stunned that I've lived in Alaska for Almost 6 months.  It's flying by!!

Anyways, this is about Christmas.  And ours was a very laid back weekend.  I'm lucky that I have weekends off, so that this year I had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day free!

Christmas Eve we spent the day bumming around all morning, going to Church in the afternoon, and then heading to Kelly's for dinner.  Perri was thrilled, since Kai and Bubba (Kelly's kids) are her idols.  She really talks about them allll the time (it's fairly cute).  They had a fabulous time playing and following Santa's progression throughout the world, online of course.

I woke up earlier than Perri on Christmas morning.  It was nice, I was able to relax with a cup of coffee and some Holiday music before Perri ripped into the presents.  We had a fabulous time FaceTiming with the family as she unwrapped all of her gifts.

Post present opening we went to Hannah's for sledding and hot chocolate.  It snowed a bunch the night before though, so the snow was too soft for sledding.  We made do with just playing in the snow and indulging in hot chocolate once we were inside!

Lovely Little Perri Ann.

We ended our wonderful Christmas day with dinner at Marie's house.  Awesome food, and even better company.

We couldn't have asked for a better way to have our first Alaskan Christmas.  It really was great!

(My only regret is that I don't have any pictures of Perri and I from the day.  I really really need to get better about that...)
