The Reindeer Farm

Ok, I admit it. I'm a Groupon addict. Especially being new to an area, it's been a great way to learn about some of the things that are out there in Alaska.  Such as Holidays at the Reindeer Farm!

We tried to go to the Reindeer Farm in October, but it was closed so I figured we'd add it to the Summer List. Instead, I found out (via Groupon) that they have Holiday festivities! (Really, I should have guessed. I mean, duh, there isn't a better combo than Santa and his Reindeer...)

So the festivities put on included hay rides, reindeer feeding, moose meeting, Santa sighting, movie watching, sledding, and family photo opportunities.

The Reindeer Meet and Greet.

Kenai, the Moose.

Santa and his amazing antler chair (Perri refused to go anywhere near him).

 The Hay Ride.

The Horses (with the sledding hill in the background).

And finally the professional photo.

It was a typical Alaska winter day, cold and blustery, but we still had a great time!!

So yes, everyone should join Groupon. And everyone should get the chance to visit some reindeer at Christmas!
